APR ignition coils are designed to be a direct plug-and-play upgrade to the factory coils and provide increased power output while ensuring a stronger, more consistent spark. It is commonly believed that replacing the factory ignition coils with those taken from higher-powered Audi RS models, such as the 2.5T, provides increased power output. However, testing proves that they are no more powerful than the factory coils found in the 1.8T and 2.0T engines. APR ignition coils increase power output by 10%. They are a direct upgrade or replacement and come in the coveted red, blue or gray housing made popular by the Audi R8!
