Made from hand-laid lightweight carbon fibre, this product is lacquered to create a high gloss finish. It is mounted on two swan-neck struts, manufactured from lightweight CNC-machined aluminium to provide the best weight to performance ratio. The struts have been optimised to provide the ideal load-to-weight ratio. The bolts used to connect the wing and struts are made from high-grade titanium. High-grade titanium reinforcements have been incorporated for improved structural stability at the pivot points. Designed with echoes of the world of motorsport, the wing-derived airfoil has been developed to achieve an extremely competitive downforce to drag ratio. A small lip is placed on the trailing edge of a wing to achieve maximum wing performance, creating even more downforce. Optimised for the aerodynamics of the BMW M3 and M4, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has been used to ensure optimum functionality, and great care has been taken to ensure that the overall geometry does not cause additional air turbulence at the rear or generate additional noise from the side of the car. Fully adjustable over three levels, the wing needs to be manually adjusted to the preferred angle before driving. It is ABE approved with type approval AKR-WI KBA 31882 and finished with a discreet monochrome Akrapovic logo on each side. This product is not compatible with the BMW M4 Convertible (G83). This product is not compatible with the BMW M440i Convertible (G23) model.
