MQB Billet Underbody Tunnel braces are mounted beneath the body to help combat body flex. This improves rigidity to help refine handling, while also providing valuable extra clearance for the larger-diameter exhaust system.
What do they do?
MQB cars feature thin OE stamped steel underbody tunnel braces in an attempt to reinforce the weakest points of the bodywork and limit chassis flex under demanding loads. Our new billet braces replace these weak braces with intricately machined aluminum replacements, greatly improving rigidity, providing much better exhaust clearance, and even looking great! CNC machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum, each brace is designed to remove unnecessary material while still increasing rigidity.
With any 3″ diameter exhaust system, the OE bracket provides insufficient clearance. So rather than removing the tunnel brace, our new rear tunnel brace finally gives you the option to replace it, providing the necessary clearance while maintaining crucial body rigidity. "bullet-arrow">
Despite adding stiffness, this improved dynamic performance comes without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration or harshness into the cabin. Clamp-on designs mean installation is simple, using existing body mounting points with no drilling or trim removal required, ensuring the fitment is completely reversible.

We offer two braces - a center brace and a rear tunnel brace. FWD car owners can fit both, AWD cars can only fit the Rear Tunnel Brace. Looking to fit a larger diameter exhaust system?
For large diameter aftermarket exhausts, there simply isn’t enough clearance above the factory tunnel mount. Many owners have no choice but to remove the brace. But the brace is there for a reason. With the extra clearance our Rear Tunnel Mount provides, you can now maintain the strength and fit of your larger exhaust.
