This exhaust is constructed from high-quality lightweight titanium and features a central silencer that expands to produce two sets of tailpipes, with a choice of titanium or carbon fibre finish, designed to complement the lines of the car. Two valves on either side of the silencer control the airflow and are contained in valve housings cast in Akrapovic’s in-house foundry. The Evolution Line (Titanium) will reduce the overall weight of the vehicle, while delivering extra power and torque across the entire rev range. With a specially developed and tuned sound, the system delivers a sporty, very high-frequency tone, especially when the car is in the higher rev range. In normal mode, the sound is quiet and ideal for city driving and cruising, but still has the unmistakable Akrapovic feel. This is achieved through a carefully designed X-crossover element in the link pipes that influences the sound. This allows the exhaust gases to mix from both sides of the engine, putting the resulting combination on a par with a finely tuned musical instrument and creating incredible high-frequency overtones as the revs increase, all without compromising on aural clarity and comfort. An optional Akrapovic sound kit is available, which will enhance the listening pleasure at lower revs and further complement the sound as the revs increase, adding excitement to pulling away from a standstill. Installation is plug and play, with no need to remap the ECU.
