Racingline Stage 2 'EVO' MQB Golf 7/8, S3, Cupra Monoblock Brake Kit
Our new Stage 2 ‘EVO’ performance brake upgrade has now been revised with impressive larger 4-piston calipers housing a larger pad size (it’s the same pad as a Ferrari F40!). Bringing a real sports car feel in the braking department for demanding use on fast roads – all at an affordable price.
All the power in the world is next to useless if your stock brakes aren’t up to par. Our new Stage 2 ‘EVO’ Monoblock Performance Brake Upgrade is an ultra-durable braking solution developed exclusively for VWG’s fast road and occasional track cars. We’ve developed these brakes for street use based on our decades of motorsport experience and, as you’d expect, they deliver excellent stopping power time and time again. Yet all at an affordable price. Our lightweight monoblock construction is usually reserved for the highest specification motorsport kits, being much stiffer and lighter than the stock calipers.
The kit comes in at nearly half the weight of the original for a significant savings in unsprung mass. The caliper, pads and bracket assembly weighs 4.4 kg (9.7 lb) versus 8.6 kg (18.9 lb) for the factory Golf 7R kit.
A larger 345mm x 30mm 'triple-grove' single-piece disc (rotor) provides greater heat capacity, thus reducing the fading effect.
The larger pad size is now the exact same pad that a Ferrari F40 uses! And now being a generic pad-size, you can choose any brand, any pad-spec when it comes to replacement.
Our extensive piston size development program delivers a beautifully progressive pedal feel – and that’s because (unlike many) we develop brakes only for VWG cars.

Weight saving properties
Saving unsprung weight is really important in a high performance car.
Therefore, we spent a lot of our development and design time ensuring that our 'EVO' performance brake kit saves as much weight as possible. Our monobloc aluminium construction is key to this saving - because this single-piece caliper is stronger and more rigid, it can therefore be lighter than equivalent 2-piece calipers.
